The White School International (TWSI) is a vibrant K-12 residential school set across 16 acres of lush tropical greenery across the river Chaliyar in Calicut. Founded by HiLITE group Chairman Mr. P. Sulaiman with the vision of becoming India’s top International school, TWSI is the only school in Kerala to offer the complete IB syllabus through all four programs--EYP (Early Years Program), PYP (Primary Years Program), MYP (Middle Years Program), and the coveted DP (Diploma Program).
By aligning its curriculum with and earning the approval of the prestigious International Baccalaureate Organization in Switzerland, TWSI joins the most elite academies in the world from New York to Shanghai in preparing the next generation of global leaders to engage with and shape the world in new ways.
The programs at TWSI are designed to empower students through practical hands-on activity-based learning, focused individually on every student. Mentors work with each student independently to develop skills, values, and achievements so that by the time they graduate they have confidence in who they are and what they have achieved and are ready to take these qualities out into the world with them.
From trips to the field in science class to measure pH levels in the water to organizing a city-wide Mini-Marathon to benefit cancer victims, TWSI learn by doing and are given opportunities to learn about the world by engaging with it. Each day at TWSI begins with a student-led assembly on a different theme, in which a different class is responsible for the program each day. Senior students bring in news and updates from around the world, primary year students have conducted entire assemblies in sign language to teach us about communication. These early public speaking presentations give each member of the community an opportunity to express who they are and feel confident speaking in front of a group.
The achievements of the students in their commitment to the school and the wider community show an exceptional group of young people who have been prepared to find their place in the world and shape it for the better.
