Research
The institute is conducting action research in all design studios by students and faculty. Systematic reviews are organised with external practioners and academics to promote multidisciplinary view points relevant to urban context.
The college believes that all problems new or old, do have more efficient and appropriate solutions based on the uniqueness of the context.
CLDL CAT Design Lab is taking socially relevant developmental projects of government as part of outreach program.
Collaboration
CAT collaborates with some of the world’s renowned institutes for interdisciplinaryactivities, training and research initiatives. The institute has obtained the Netherlands Fellowship Programme in year 2015and completed the faculty Training under NUFFIC Tailor Made Training conducted by SAXION UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES- NETHERLANDS.
The institute has executed the memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saxion, University of Applied Scences, to cooperate on education,consultancy and research. It open up opportunities for exchanging students, staff, joint research and training.
CAT establishes another MoU with L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-La-Villette (ENSAPLV) allowing mobility of students and faculty. CAT has undertaken two projects along with ENSAPLV and Bharathi Vidyapeet College of Architecture Pune.
